MAHSA which stands for Malaysian Allied Health Sciences Academy was founded in 2004 by Professor Tan Sri Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa who is the Pro-Chancellor, and Executive Chairman of MAHSA Group. Today MAHSA University has students from 56 different countries. And not just from the region of Asia, but as far as Australia, UK, the USA and Canada.

MBBS Program

MAHSA University’s Faculty of Medicine and Bio-medical science offers the best modern and traditional modes of learning, which includes subject-based, system synchronized curricula across all its programs. MAHSA’s MBBS program is a 5 year programme. It is divided into 2 phases. (Phase 1 – Year 1 and 2) and (Phase 2 – Years 3 – 5). Phase 1 is largely conducted in MAHSA University with exposure to clinical medicine. Phase 2 is the clinical phase and is almost entirely hospital and clinical based.

The MBBS program is accredited by the MQA and is listed in the FAIMER WORLD DIRECTORY OF MEDICAL SCHOOLS.

Dentistry Program

A special resonance can be given to MAHSA University’s Dentistry Program as it is the only Dentistry Program that’s accepted by Sri-Lanka Medical Council. Sri-Lankan students willing to study Dentistry can opt to study Dentistry at MAHSA University. The modules taught in this degree programme are an integration of biomedical, clinical and behavioral sciences, with particular emphasis on human anatomy, craniofacial biology, physiology, biochemistry, and microbiology. At the end of this programme, students will have procured for themselves the ability to carry out various dental tasks, from basic dental procedures such as tooth extraction and repair of oral imperfections to complex and complicated procedures such as root canal and prosthodontics treatment.

MAHSA University is awarded ONLINE UNIVERSITY by the Ministry of Education. This has allowed MAHSA to provide borderless education to many through MAHSA’s Engaged Learning Experience and Innovative Teaching (ELEVATE). MAHSA University is famous for all its available fields of study. If students wish to pursue any other degree other than the MBBS program, students are free to lodge in their applications.
