Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University the first national university in Georgia was founded in 1918 in Tbilisi, located in the heart of Georgia. It is the oldest university in the Caucasus region as well as in Georgia. The university has five branches in the region of Georgia which includes six faculties including humanities, law, economics and business, medicine, and social and political sciences, a scientific library, seven museums, 60 scientific-research laboratories and centers, and a publishing house.

Tbilisi State University is affiliated with universities, and educational and scientific organizations, including UNESCO, the University of Saarland in Germany, Brunel University in the United Kingdom, the Association of European Universities, and the Council of Europe.

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University’s new campus can accommodate 320 students and equipped with all necessary consists with three four-story residential buildings and one administrative building, with a resource room, conference room, medical center, laundry, library, cafe, computer room, and other infrastructure to provide a comfortable environment for students. Also provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. In case you do not want to live in a hostel, there are private hostels available as well.
